The term "global village" had remained largely the mantra of academics and philosophers and it was not until the arrival of the Internet that the phrase started to enjoy common usage.
Censorship is alive and well in many Muslim nations, and a great deal of the effort to control the flow of images and information relates to pornography. Censorship also relates to sites that deal with sexuality in less obvious ways. For example in Yemen, blocked sites include those that offer sex education, advertise "provocative" fashions, dating sites and gay information. So internet filtering has become a tool of cultural control in many cases.

In an age of unprecedented free speech, there are nonetheless parameters of civility and good taste. Bigotry should be unacceptable, no matter whom it is targeting.
The internet has opened up a world of information and a whole new realm of communication. It also facilitates the darker side of the human psyche, and has provided a venue for people who exploit children for gratification and monetary gain.

By looking at the trends of today we can begin to develop a image of what the Web of the future will look like. I believe the Web will improve and grow in a way that will dwarf its present existence and will improve and enrich everyone's lives way beyond what we can imagine today.

There are a lot of intricacies that are involved in a simple search on the Internet or within a computer's system for that matter. One of the main languages used in this science is called MySQL, which is a system used for data base management.
One of the fun things that I found working in ColdFusion is the many ways you can manipulate xml data. I'm certain this type of process isn't exclusive to ColdFusion, but I wanted to put it out there anyway.

One thing that I love about all news windows products is the remote desktop features. I previously used PCAnywhere but I find that remote desktop is now almost as good, would like to see a file transfer like PCAnywhere has, but remote desktop is free so that is a plus for it.
