There won't be a pair of pants big enough to remove the evidence of this pork outrage from the Depositary For The National Archives. Participants will be left with explaining to their future heirs and families their roles as a fully operation "Porkmeister".
Iran has once again seized British sailors just like it did three years ago. In that episode Iran managed to extract as much leverage on the British government as it could to steer itself through rough international waters designed to halt its pursuit of nuclear weapons.
Saudi King Abdullah’s declaration that the presence of U.S. troops in Iraq amounted to an "illegitimate foreign occupation" were met with surprise in Washington. "We were a little surprised to see those remarks," Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns told reporters. The King's proclamation was far from surprising and it indicates that Saudi Arabia is now shifting from words—words that Washington apparently ignored, given its terming Abdullah's comments a "surprise"—to actions to safeguard its own critical interests.

A fundamental hypocrisy lies at the root of the problematic European experiment with multiculturalism, and it is the view that multiculturalism is a sort of creche for immigrants. The host societies have never viewed themselves as equal partners in the multicultural mosaic.

The rate of inflation in Zimbabwe is now the highest in the world, 1,600%. Much of this is driven by government borrowing in an effort to cover rising expenses. The infrastructure itself is falling apart. Schools are run down, hospitals critically underfunded and short of both equipment and medicines. To make matters worse, even basic services are failing or in bad shape - for example sewage-treatment plants.

The Federal Communications Commission decided Thursday to allow public comment on whether it should modify its rules regarding net neutrality. We cannot overstate the importance of this issue, or this opportunity. We urge everyone who values the free exchange of ideas and individual expression to take this opportunity to make your voice heard.
Atheism is perhaps the most misunderstood category in the range of beliefs on the market. It can be a difficult to define, incorporating, under its umbrella, a host of attitudes about the non-existence of god.
John Edwards' 60 Minutes explanation of his decision to remain in the race for President disturbed me as both a husband and a father.
An online encyclopedia with the blatantly partisan name "Conservapedia" has appeared on the internet in an effort to restore encyclopedic balance. The founder is a guy named Andy Schlafly. He's out to rectify what he describes as Wikipedia's "liberal bias".

US troops booted down the door of Arab values and brought the worst of all possible insults upon them by dishonouring and humiliating them. In a region and culture, both Arabic and Muslim, where one’s dignity and honour are to be defended at all cost, including one’s life, the US shamed the Iraqi nation, the Arab nation and the Muslim world. The Bush administration, thus, blindly and arrogantly entered a war, which would inevitably result in a ceaseless Arab fight to regain their lost honour, dignity, pride, and to exact revenge upon an infidel who has dared to so grievously injure it.

One lesson that I’ve drawn from the 2008 Presidential campaign is that America needs a fresh face. As much as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama may try to portray themselves as agents of change, they so monopolize the media spotlight that many of us have already grown weary of them and their rhetoric.
More and more people are taking to the streets in cities like Chicago to try earn a living by asking for financial help. Could this be the sign of a rapidly shrinking middle class?
"America is like a healthy body, and it's resistance is threefold: It's Patriotism, it's morality, and it's Spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." The above quote is from Joseph Stalin, whom I like to call the Doctor of Communism. I call him this because of that one quote. It was, in essence, a prescription. A prescription for the destruction of America. And the liberals have been dispensing the medication since.
Foreign companies have provided over 6 million jobs here in the U.S. in recent years, most of those paying well above the average. Job displacement is unfortunate but inevitable. In a perfect world, no job would ever be lost. Business failures alone, costs millions of jobs.
America is facing challenges on many fronts. Terrorism, illegal immigration, a rapidly changing economy and aggressive foreign competition all contribute to the perception that the nation is under threat.
