The unsuccessful terror attacks in the UK this month have prompted a number of welcome responses from voices in the British Muslim community. Increasingly moderate Muslim voices in the UK are speaking out against Islamic inspired violence.

And here I always felt so 'not worthy' when speaking to medical doctors. Qualified doctors are perceived to be the elite, the top strata of intelligence, the level that the ordinary folk like you and I, cannot even aspire to.

An intriguing ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court could re-open discussion about the brainwashing that occurs in all-too-many public school classrooms these days. The High Court this week issued a thumbs-down to so-called "diversity" plans in two large school districts that use race as a factor in assigning students.

The controlled media is up to its usual tricks. They discovered long ago that the best way to manipulate the news is to blatantly distort and lie about the subject - or simply ignore it completely. Such is the case with GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul.

Why would Iraqis insist on sectarian warfare that prevents national reconciliation and the possibility of a stable and secure nation? I suspect that it is because the Iraqis themselves have no real desire to get along with each other and to move the country forward.

The internet is a great thing and we should all be thankful to Al Gore for creating it for us. Now, before I get one more email from some numbskull saying that Al Gore never claimed to have invented the internet let me put that fallacy to rest by providing you with his exact quote: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the internet." - Al Gore, CNN's "Late Edition" March 9th, 1999. You can get out your dictionary and see that "create" and "invent" are synonyms. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I reiterate that everyone should send Mr. Gore a nice card to thank him for his invention.

Eisenhower was prompted to persuade the nation’s people to build the interstate highway system, as a matter of national security. Yet, as funding from federal gas taxes and state user fees have fallen behind the inflated costs associated with road construction and maintenance, more and more state governors and lawmakers no longer see the operation of roads solely as a public responsibility.

When a Democratic candidate talks about faith, however sincerely, it doesn’t ring true. Obama’s faith, real or not, is a net campaign liability. To his advantage, Hillary’s war record is fatal, so Obama will probably win the nomination. Lesbians cannot have children naturally, unless they do have one naturally, i.e. with a man. Why do we not just accept this, as many other childless women do, and put our energies into other things? Why do we not set an example for other childless couples and adopt?

Social Injustice is rising. Income inequality is rising and so is social injustice. There is a widening canyon of inequality between the very top and the rest of society, including the upper middle class. True, those in the upper quintile work harder and are better educated that those in lower places on the income strata. Yet, most of those in the upper quintile are middle class professionals.

The question of religious conviction, or the symbols that represent these convictions, made the news in the UK recently. A sixteen year old girl took her fight for her right to wear a 'purity ring' to the High Court. Her school has determined that her chastity ring was jewelry and therefore under the normal school rules, not allowed.

Liberals frequently complain that the right poses a threat to democracy and freedom of speech. They are quick to brand right wing opinion of the outspoken variety as extremist. But are outspoken individuals more of a threat to our freedoms than an orchestrated cultural agenda that effectively puts a chill on free speech?
