Daily newspapers provide more than a news source for their readers. Reading a newspaper can be a comforting ritual. The advent of alternative media and the demand for real time news, is partly responsible for the large circulation declines we have seen with print media. Politics however, cannot be overlooked as a contributing factor.
Archaeological records indicate that all ancient cultures developed orthodox musical systems based on a pentatonic scale. While there might be a supernatural or metaphysical connection to account for how so many far-flung cultures came to this same conclusion, there is a very simple and down to earth explanation for it as well.

Isaac Hayes died yesterday (10/08/08) in Memphis Tennessee, 10 days shy of his 66th birthday. He was found unconscious next to a still running treadmill. It is believed he suffered from a massive stroke and later died in Memphis Baptist Memorial Hospital. He married 4 times and left behind 12 children.
Legendary soul singer, composer and actor Isaac Hayes died Sunday, August 10, at his home in East Memphis, Tennessee. He was 65. Hayes was found unconscious on the floor near a treadmill that was left operating.

On July 4th, 2007, the movie version of the 1980s cartoon Transformers hit the big screen. The biggest stars of the new movie are in fact the cars, not the actors. GM scored big in this regard, as five different GM models are featured in the movie.

With the increasing popularity of cell phones, caller id's and broadband internet technology, market researchers are quickly following consumers to the world wide web. For business owners, the struggle to stay in touch and reach out to consumers using traditional market research techniques is becoming increasingly more difficult.
Google has made deals with several news groups to collect their stories and post them on Google's site rather than re-directing users to the actual news sources. This is a major move that will no doubt kill weak newspapers who have lost ground to the Internet and laid off people to compete on price.
Social networking is like viral marketing on steroids. Companies can release a new product in the morning and have it talked about by millions of users on thousands of sites by the afternoon. But users can love a product one minute and then drop it like a lead balloon the next, depending on their experience with the product, a rumor, or whether they have had their morning coffee yet.
