What are we to make of Barack Obama? Most of us think he makes a good impression: he is friendly, likeable, intelligent and courteous. His speeches are often inspiring and eloquent. Nevertheless, there has emerged within the last several weeks an increasing sense of discomfort with Mr. Obama, and not just because of his political views.

According to documents released on Thursday, July 17, 2008, undercover state troopers in Maryland infiltrated at least three groups peacefully protesting the death penalty and advocating peace. These troopers illegally sent reports of the activities of these groups to U.S. intelligence and military agencies.
The Christian Zionism movement in the United States preaches a lot of politics within their sermons, are their sermons biblical? Or are they manipulating and taking scripture out of context to gain support for a political agenda?
I hate to be one of the Nay Sayers who predict doom and gloom for our glorious nation. I believe in our system of government and have great respect for the members of the military that daily lay down their lives for the pursuit of freedom. However, fear has entered my soul. It's a fear brought on by the knowledge that many of our leaders have lost their love for liberty and sold their souls for wealth and status.
The end of Free Speech in America has arrived at our doorstep. It's a new law called the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act", and it is worded in a clever way that could allow the U.S. government to arrest and incarcerate any individual who speaks out against the Bush Administration, the war on Iraq, the Department of Homeland Security or any government agency (including the FDA).
Although every president has his own foreign policy, I think in one spot the foreign policy of John F Kennedy and George W Bush becomes similar, this spot is war. Also both of them are idealist, their idealism in their speech, before the beginning of the wars is definite.
Polygamy not withstanding, it is critical, as citizens and keepers of justice, that we familiarize ourselves with the spousal sexual assault laws. "We are not only responsible for what we do, but also, for that what we don't do." Voltaire.

Just a week into Law & Order: White House Edition, Thompson appears to be locked in a head-to-head struggle with Republican front-runner Rudy Giuliani. A CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll shows Thompson running at 27 percent among registered Republicans - just under Giuliani's 28 percent.
The Sept. 15 Peace protest in Washington, D.C. came just as President Bush threatened an Iran invasion. That protest was a beacon of hope amid a plague of problems facing this nation. It renewed my faith that people still go to the Capitol for redress of grievances.
Whether a person’s Bill of choice is named O’Reilly or Maher, phony attention grabbing “outrage” is shouted in the media in hope of gaining political advantage. This comes at the expense of people’s livelihoods, and most importantly, it comes at the expense of the truth.
There has been little dispute about the vast majority of illegals being Roman Catholics coming from Mexico and other Latin countries. There has been however, various theories on the main force behind the massive illegal immigration army which is constantly crossing the US border. However, and this is not something you will hear on Fox News or CNN, or in the mainstream in general, but the Vatican has for years been the main force behind the invasion. Yes, the Vatican! Why? Like the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops have declared the role of the illegals is be "evangelizers".
Ever wondered how good the doctors are that you go to? A new federal court ruling will open never-before-available files about doctors. This will allow patients, business owners and insurors to see how well docs perform.
An analysis of Ron Paul's personal beliefs and his personal believes showing some contradictions. There seems to be some confusion about what Ron Paul's intentions might be in running for President.
We don't want to think about it, but our private lives have become public. Technology growth is removing our personal privacy and allowing almost every aspect of our lives to be tracked, recorded and evaluated. Most people don't have anything to hide, but it is disconcerting when a simple purchase is recorded and analyzed, or a trip to run daily errands is scrutinized by hidden eyes and recorded in a database.
In the early years computer hacking was pretty much limited to individuals who acquired unconventional skills and the software to apply it. Over time hacking became more organized, with gangs employing hackers to engage in a variety cyber crimes. These days the hacking art has become almost an institutionalized resource in an information war that is being waged by nations at the highest political levels.
