Ron Paul Needs Million Man March Ron Paul is an underdog rising. He's the political Rocky Balboa. This is the kind of story the the media and the rest of America loves. So what is the media afraid of? Why aren't they reporting this?
Ronald Ernest Paul (born August 20, 1935) is a 10th-term Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas, a member of the Republican Party, a physician, and a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2008 presidential election. I have been following Ron Paul's Campaign for a while now and have noticed one unbelievable aspect of it. He's an underdog rising. He's the political Rocky Balboa. This is the kind of story the the media and the rest of America loves. So what is the media afraid of? Why aren't they reporting this? Are they just angry that the candidates they chose are not doing as well as they had liked? Are they mad because they don't have control of Ron Paul's growing popularity? I don't know. But I do know that something just doesn't seem right. The media is able to control the attention Ron Paul receives for now, but once you have the support of millions it will be impossible. Maybe what is needed is a true showing of support for the constitution. Lets gather our things and bring a million people to march in to Washington and demand to be heard. People have stood together in the past and so should we now. If this cause is what we want then this cause is what we must amass in historic number to show our love for this country.
Portrait of Thomas Jefferson by Rembrandt Peale, 1800. Image: Wikimedia Commons. In the words of the great Thomas Jefferson: "We may consider each generation as a distinct nation, with a right, by the will of its majority, to bind themselves, but none to bind the succeeding generation, more than the inhabitants of another country." or maybe you prefer George Washington: Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like a fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action. "The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men." - Samuel Adams Other Views on Ron Paul:
